skif is released under the MIT licence. Code derived from other projects is credited in ATTRIBUTIONS.md.

  • sherif (MIT, Tom Lienard and contributors). skif began as a fork of sherif and was rebuilt as a restructured codebase. The workspace and manifest rules and their autofixes are ported from it.
  • syncpack (MIT, Jamie Mason and contributors). The specifier model is vendored in skif-specifier, and the version-group and semver-group policies follow syncpack’s design.
  • knip (ISC, Lars Kappert and contributors). The JavaScript analysis follows knip: its issue types, its plugin knowledge (enablers, config files, entry patterns), the plugins enabled by ancestor workspaces, and the list of global binaries that scripts may run without a dependency are taken from it and re-implemented on oxc.
